9-ball Hide Behind

Learning safe plays are key to winning more matches since you won’t be able to run out all the time. In most safe plays you will find yourself hiding the cue-ball behind another ball, this is one example that requires a little bit of practice to get the speed control needed.

If you can’t run the table all of the time, you may want to add some nice safety plays to your skills set.

A more advanced version of this drill would be to cut the angle that you are given from the cue ball to the object ball. A much thinner cut is necessary to execute this shot successfully.
